Our Easter Offering
At Good Shepherd we believe in being a strong partner and making a difference in our community. This year we will be giving away 100% of our Easter offering to support children and families in the North Kansas City School District.
In working with the school district leadership, they identified one of their greatest needs is to give social workers the means to support families in emergency situations. The social workers shared that one of the biggest needs they experience is having the means to assist the families they know need it most with one or two nights of a hotel stay. Simply having the ability to respond quickly and with some resources would go a long way to ensuring stability for families, especially children.
This year’s Easter offering will be used by school social workers to respond quickly to the needs of students and families in crisis and keep some of our most vulnerable people here in the Northland off the streets and in housing.
gsKids Easter Party
For the first time ever we are offering a chance for kids to have their own gsKids Easter Party. This experience is geared toward preschool and elementary kids where there will be dancing, singing, games and the opportunity to learn the Easter story. Your kids will not want to miss this!
At North Oak, kids can join the gsKids Easter Party at our 9:00 am & 10:15 am services. At our Gladstone campus, we are hosting the gsKids Easter Party at the 10:15 am service.
Nursery will be offered at all of our Easter services.
