On Saturday, July 26, we’re doing just that—with IGNITE HOPE 2025, a church-wide Serve Day focused on spreading love through 100 service opportunities across Kansas City.
From packing backpacks for local kids, stocking shelves at the ATP Food Pantry, delivering treats to first responders, to visiting and supporting residents at Newmark Care Center—every act of service, big or small, helps ignite hope in the heart of our community.
Whether you’ve got one hour or the whole day, there’s a place for you to jump in, give back, and show what it means to love God and love others.
Serve Day takes place on Saturday, July 26th, with opportunities to serve between 8AM and 2PM across the Kansas City area. Some of the ways you can get involved include serving at the ATP Food Pantry, lending a hand at Newmark Care Center, helping with Parks and Rec cleanup projects, or delivering treat boxes to local fire and police departments. We’ll commission our Serve Day teams with prayer during worship on Sunday, July 20th, and then celebrate all the ways we showed up to serve- through stories, photos, and shared moments, on Sunday, July 27th during worship.
This year, we're offering a FREE Good Shepherd Ignite Hope shirt, perfect for standing out while you serve July 26th and all year long!
If you'd like to receive a shirt, please sign up for your serve spot by June 29th!
