Faith Over Fear

It sure seems like this is a time in our lives when there is a lot that we don’t know. Things are changing by the hour. The one thing that we do know for certain is that throughout all the changes, disappointments, inconveniences, and adjustments to our schedules, we have access to hope. The hope that comes from our faith in Jesus.

While we are not be able to be together in person, we are planning for energizing and compelling worship each Sunday morning. The service will be pre-recorded, then uploaded to our website HERE at 9 am and live-streamed on our Facebook pages at 9 and 10:30 am. The service will then be available any time after that to replay. Each week, we will have representatives from all three of our campuses. We’ll offer things for the whole family and even give you the chance to take communion in your home.

This may be a good time for you to invite your loved ones without a home church - or those whose home churches lack the technology to live stream - to join you in a virtual watch party. Feel free to share our video with your friends and family.

Each of our campus pastors will be sharing mid-week messages:
  • Kayla will be sharing an object lesson at noon on WEDNESDAYS on the Gladstone Facebook page.
  • Bryan will be sharing a devotional at 6 pm WEDNESDAYS on the North Oak Facebook page
  • Fabian will be sharing a devotional at 6 pm on THURSDAYS on the Platte County Facebook and Instagram pages
  • Our music ministry will also be sharing one or two worship songs across all three pages on Fridays.

We know there are needs in our community. We want to know how we can help meet those needs and we want to be in prayer for you. Submit prayer requests and needs HERE.  Now, more than ever, we need to be the church for each other and our community.

It is true that for some, these are times of anxiety and uncertainty. Know that we are praying for you, with you and alongside you. Our God is bigger than our circumstances and our faith is our anchor of peace.

Easter at Good Shepherd

Let’s celebrate the resurrection of Christ! We have special events planned all week.
  • Palm Sunday: Join us at 4 pm  for a drive-through palm parade in the parking lot! View a palm branch tutorial HERE
  • Maundy Thursday: Pastor Kayla will lead us through a special meal online at 6 pm on the Gladstone Facebook page
  • Good Friday:  Pastor Fabian will honor the night Christ died by leading us in prayer and worship online at 7 pm on the Platte County Facebook page.
  • Easter Sunday:  While we may not be together in person on Easter, we can come together virtually, on our website and Facebook pages. We’ll sing songs, hear a message that challenges us to consider what new life can look like, and we’ll experience communion together, all in the comfort of our own homes. Christ’s resurrection is ultimately a message of hope, a hope that our world desperately needs every day, but most especially during these days when our lives are far from normal. We encourage you to invite your friends and join us in worshiping online at 9 and 10:30 am. Christ will rise, and that is a hope that ensures that the best is yet to come.

Lenten Season Offering

During this time when scarcity is around every corner, we serve an abundant God. Giving to church may not be top of mind for you right now, but it is in these times that being the church to a hurting world is what we are called to do. We offer you several ways to stay connected to this mission through online giving on our website or through your Good Shepherd KC app. You can also text GSKCMO to 206-859-9405. And, as always, you can mail a check to our North Oak campus, 9555 North Oak Tfwy, Kansas City, MO 64155. We are continuing our School Lunch campaigns over and above regular giving, as we know that just because kids may not be in school right now, that debt isn’t going away. Give online HERE.

gsKids will share a virtual lesson at the end of each week's live stream. You can watch it our gsKids Facebook pages any time throughout the week.

We have accompanying coloring sheets, family lessons and more available for you to download HERE. We are also sharing content several times per week on our Facebook pages.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you need prayer or have any other needs during this time.

Club 5/6
