Rikki Fulmer has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2013 after obtaining her MSW in 2010. Currently she serves as the Executive Director of A Turning Point, where she works tirelessly to ensure no one has to face hardships alone.
With a heart for community and a mind for strategy, Rikki blends compassion with action, leading programs that serve and empower marginalized populations. Whether she’s cheering on her staff, leading outreach initiatives, or explaining what a social worker actually does (again and again), Rikki is committed to creating spaces where dignity and humanity are non-negotiable.
Her passion and skills are best used making community education feel less like a lecture and more like a conversation over coffee— with a side of advocacy and a heavy dose of hope. She believes in meeting people where they are, even if that’s on a folding chair in a church basement, in a camp, or in the comments section of a community Facebook group.
When she's not championing change, Rikki can be found chasing after ideas (and occasionally two young children), always fueled by her passion, sense of humor, and a deeply held belief that everyone deserves a seat at the table—even if she has to build it herself.
Sara serves as the Northland KC Community Liaison for Shepherd Elder Law Group, where she helps raise awareness about elder care, special needs protections, and the legal services the firm provides—including asset protection, wills, trusts, VA benefits, and disability guardianship.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Northwest Missouri State University and a Master’s in Social Gerontology from the University of Central Missouri. With a passion for serving the senior adult community, Sara has integrated intergenerational education throughout her teaching career—connecting teens and older adults through shared learning experiences. She also taught courses on healthy aging and the family life cycle. Sara and her husband, Tom, have been married for 29 years and love investing in their local community.
Brittany has called the Northland home for the last 12 years, where she lives with her husband, our three daughters, and three dogs. Life is busy and fun, filled with shuttling the kids to their many hobbies and sports. With a background in Medical Administration, Brittany has been with Good Shepherd for almost two years now, and feels incredibly blessed to be part of such an amazing team!
Laura is an Ordained Elder in the Missouri United Methodist Conference serving through the Missouri United Methodist Foundation. She enjoys working with over 500 churches in the areas of financial stewardship, investments, planned giving and leadership development.
Jamie has served on the staff of nonprofit youth organization, Youthfront, Inc. for 35 years working with young people and their families. He is also a former pastor, spiritual director, communicator, and author.
Jamie received his Master’s of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary and his Master’s of Arts in Counseling from Mid America Nazarene University. He works from psychodynamic and experiential theories and from the perspective that humans are relational beings. Jamie’s approach is driven by his belief that whole personhood happens through relationships, which is why loneliness is so damaging and why the presence of a loving other is so healing.
Jamie’s experience working with youth and families has taught him that within the careful presence of a loving other, one's true self begins to emerge. In addition to his professional career, Jamie and his wife, Lea Ann, have raised four children.
