This summer more than 50,000 people have been affected by two earthquakes in Venezuela. Thousands are still missing. We are partnering with DHH Church in Venezuela to bring hygiene kits to displaced families in temporary camps, including thousands of children without a home to return to. Donation boxes are now available at both our North Oak and Gladstone campuses.
This Sunday: If you have been curious about Good Shepherd but are not sure where to start, Next Steps Xpress is for you. It is a relaxed opportunity where you can meet others, ask questions and figure out what your next step here looks like. Lunch and Childcare are provided.
Currently: We are now accepting nominations for our Governing Board. If you know someone with a heart for service and leadership, we want to hear about them. Nominate yourself or someone you know by August 16 below.
August 12: And if you have ever wanted to dig into scripture but were not sure where to start, Digging Deeper: Laughter and Lament in the Old Testament is coming up Wednesday, August 12 at 6:30pm at our North Oak Campus.
August 23: Mark your calendars for Back to School Sunday is happening August 23 at both campuses and it is our way of stepping into this new season together. We will bless our kids as they head into a new school year and celebrate the educators who pour into our students every single day.
August 28: All Church Serve Weekend is coming up August 28 through 30. This year we are partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build beds for kids in our community who need them, along with a full weekend of family friendly opportunities to serve your neighbors and give back together. All ages and abilities welcome!
August 28: A new school year has a way of feeling like a fresh start. New routines, new rhythms, a chance to reset. If something has been stirring in you this season, baptism might be your next step. It is a meaningful way to mark this moment and step into something new.
