Think about how you first ended up at Good Shepherd.
Was it a friend who mentioned it? A coworker who said “you should come check it out sometime”? Someone who knew you well enough to think of you? Most of us are here because someone cared enough to pay attention.
That’s what Just Ask is about. We just started a new series on the power of invitation: how it starts, what it costs, and why a simple conversation can change everything. We would love to have you with us this Sunday!

Currently: Sunday is the last day to nominate someone for our Governing Board. If you know someone with a heart for service and leadership, we want to hear about them. Nominate yourself or someone you know at the link below.

August 23: Give those backpacks a test run and kick off the school year with us! Next Sunday, at both campuses we’ll pray for and encourage our kids as they head into a new school year, celebrate the teachers and educators who care for them, and have a lot of fun along the way. We’d love to see you there!

August 22 & 23: This coming Saturday, August 22, gsYouth is hosting a Parent Meeting from 9 to 11am at our Gladstone campus. It is a great way to meet the team and hear what the fall looks like for your student. And mark your calendars for gsYouth’s end of summer cookout Sunday, August 23 from 5-7pm at Oak Grove Park!

August 28-30: This is the one to block on your calendar. We are building beds for kids in our community, assembling hygiene kits for families impacted by the earthquakes in Venezuela, and serving meals to our unsheltered neighbors. All ages and abilities welcome!

August 28: If this new season has begun stirring something deeper in you, our Immersion Baptism is coming up and our pastors would love to walk you through any questions you might have. Learn more about what we believe, hear from others and sign up to participate below.

Before Erin ever extended an invitation, she noticed. She noticed a friend who was struggling. She noticed what Good Shepherd had given her. And she believed someone else needed it too.

What has God been up to in your life lately? Wether big or small, we’d love to hear your story, it might be exactly what someone else needs to hear.

And if you have expertise in a specific field and would love to share it with our community, we would love to connect with you too.

Last Sunday Matt shared a story he has never told from the pulpit before. A simple conversation. A friend who noticed and words that traveled further than anyone knew. Watch the full message, now on YouTube.
