In 2024, our financial team strategically invested $499,201 to support transformative projects and ministries that address the current and future needs of our church and community. Through your generosity, lives are being transformed, hope is being ignited, and God’s love is being shared in powerful ways. Together, we are building a thriving, compelling faith community that reaches far beyond our walls and into the hearts of those in need.
TOTAL INVESTMENTS
A significant 65% of our total investments were devoted to fostering belonging and faith formation among kids, youth, and adults. These funds helped us launch vibrant Next-Gen ministries, expand Vacation Bible School, and grow participation in small groups. Currently, 85% of our worship attendees are part of one of 38 small groups, creating spaces for deep connection and spiritual growth. We launched Next-Gen ministries, expanded VBS, and increased small group participation. Today, 85% of worship attendees are involved in one of our 38 small groups.

Worship remains at the heart of Good Shepherd, with 20% of our financial resources dedicated to this vital ministry. This investment has fueled significant growth, with our worship community increasing by an incredible 38% over the past two years. This expansion not only enriches our church’s spiritual life but also empowers us to share the love of Christ throughout Kansas City and beyond.

Belonging and Faith Formation
We believe in living out our faith by serving others. In 2024, 18% of our funds were directed toward community service and mission projects. Through these resources, we provided shelter to an average of 50 unhoused neighbors during a dedicated week of outreach. We continue to partner with A Turning Point to offer ongoing support for those in need and remain committed to meeting statewide and international needs through our Annual Conference. By fulfilling 100% of our apportioned mission shares, we ensure that God’s love is extended far beyond our local community.

In 2024, We expanded faith programs and hosted numerous impactful events like Vacation Bible School, where 296 kids and 162 volunteers shared Gods love. Our outreach efforts grew stronger, providing shelter and support to 50 homeless neighbors during the bitter cold. We celebrated 29 baptisms, each a powerful testament to lives transformed by faith in Jesus, and welcomed 107 new givers, whose generosity helps fuel our mission. These milestones reflect our unwavering commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for others to deepen their faith, uplift one another, and ignite hope throughout our community.
