To uphold this commitment, we’ve adopted the Safe Gatherings program, as recommended by the Missouri Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Who Needs to Participate?

All individuals who work with, wish to work with, or come into contact with children or vulnerable adults are required to complete the Safe Gatherings training. This includes staff, volunteers, and any community members involved in related activities.

Training Details

The Safe Gatherings program offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines online and in-person safety protocols. By completing the training session, passing the associated quiz, and undergoing a background check, participants will earn a certification valid for three years.

Cost and Donations

While the training itself is free, the background check incurs a cost of $12 to Good Shepherd. If you feel led to contribute towards this expense, you can make a donation here.
