a chance to help hope break through.

Our Easter Offering

This Easter, your generosity does something as simple and powerful as giving a child a bed of their own.

Through our partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, every 250 dollars helps provide a complete bed for a child in Clay or Platte County, frame, mattress, bedding, the whole set. Our goal is raise $12,500 to assemble and deliver 50 beds during our all church serve day in August.

If you have ever watched a kid climb into a real bed after sleeping on a couch or floor, you know it is more than furniture. It is rest, safety, and a place to dream.

Easter is more than just a celebration, it’s a chance to step into something meaningful. Serving allows you to connect with others, be part of the excitement, and experience the joy of the season in a deeper way. It's not too late to serve with us!

What are the Easter worship service times?

Services begin at 9AM & 10:30AM at Gladstone and 8:30AM, 9:45AM & 11:00AM at North Oak.

Where should I park at Gladstone?

Parking is simple and stress-free. We offer plenty of spaces, including reserved parking for families, seniors, and those with disabilities right up front to make your arrival as smooth as possible.

Overflow parking will be in the NKC Early Childhood Center’s parking lot with a small sidewalk connecting that lot with the church’s.

Where should I park at north oak?

Parking is simple and stress-free. We offer plenty of spaces at the Medical Clinics just to the south of the church. You can then use the sidewalk to enter the church. You may find a few surprises along the way! We’re encouraging all who attend regularly to use these lots in order to save the front parking lot for visitors, our older attendees, young families, and those who may need accessible parking.

When should I arrive?

Plan to arrive about 15 minutes before service starts. That gives you time to park, check in your kids, grab some coffee, and take a family photo before finding your seat.

What does Good Shepherd believe?

We believe in sharing the hope and love of Jesus with everyone. We celebrate authenticity, diversity, and belonging, creating a space where people can grow in faith, hope, and love. Our mission is to invite the next person to follow Jesus, grow in faith, and live a life of impact.

what should i expect?

From the moment you arrive, we’ll help you feel at home. You’ll be greeted at the door, guided to where you need to go, and surrounded by people who are genuinely glad you’re here. Each service includes live music, a message that connects, and a welcoming environment. We keep it under an hour so you can enjoy the rest of your day!

What about my kids?

We’ve planned something special just for them! Our gsKids Easter Party is our fun and meaningful experience for kids, available at our 11AM service. It’s full of games, music, and the Easter story told in a fun and engaging way! To save time and skip the check-in line, pre-register your kids at easterkc.com by tapping “gsKids Pre-Register.” It only takes a minute.

Our gsKids check-in desk will be conveniently located outside near the side entrance so parents can register and walk kids directly downstairs.

What about communion?

At Good Shepherd, we celebrate open communion—meaning everyone is welcome at the table, regardless of background or church experience. On Easter, communion is a meaningful part of the service, offered in a way that’s simple, respectful, and accessible for all. If you’re not sure what to expect, no pressure, we’ll guide you through it during service!

What if I have questions when I get there?

Just look for anyone wearing a volunteer badge and lanyard. They’re here to help you find your way, answer questions, and make your experience easy from start to finish!
