Every Sunday morning someone shows up early to brew the coffee. Someone stands at the door to say welcome. Someone runs sound, watches kids, preps the slides, and stays after to put it all back.
Most people never see it. But none of what happens here works without it.
This weekend is Serve Expo and it is one of our favorite Sundays of the year. If you have ever wondered where you might fit in at Good Shepherd, Sunday after service is the best place to find out. Walk around, meet the teams, ask questions, and stay open to where God might be nudging you.
October 4th: Next Sunday, we are celebrating every person who has said yes to serving at Good Shepherd. Whether you just raised your hand or you have been showing up for years, this one is for you. Join us after each service on October 4 at both campuses.
September 28: The Justice Team presents Peacebuilding in Colombia. Karson Davis will share stories from a Young Adult Peace Pilgrimage to Colombia and what it means for communities of faith to respond to injustice through action, not just words. Childcare is provided.
October 16-18: Registration is now open for our gsYouth Fall Retreat, October 16th through 18th at Youthfront West in Edgerton. It’s a weekend away to disconnect from the stress of school, the grind of sports, the endless noise of the world and just breathe during a weekend full of fun and faith.
October 24: Our annual Fall Festival is coming up on October 24th, from 3 to 6 PM at our Gladstone Campus. It’s a family-friendly afternoon for all ages: music, games, a car show, food trucks, inflatables and more, plus free popcorn and soda for everyone. Bring your friends, invite your neighbors, try out your Halloween costumes, and come celebrate the season with us!
